Max und Moritz

This is a very nice interpretation of the characters.

I, myself, am thinking of creating a sort of aftermath AU for Max ad Moritz, where it is revealed that they actually left dummies in the mill to fool the farmer, and the ducks ate those. In addition, the boys see that such a thing could have happened to them, and thus leave behind their pranking lifestyle and change their ways. (Not to mention they befriend a certain Augustus Gloop along the way.)
